Scene: Medical Office Back Drop, I in my chair infront of my computer talking on the phone with my mom.

A male patient appears at the window infront of me.

MP: "I still haven't heard anything."

Me: "Let me call you back mom." Hangs up phone.

Me: "Yes, how can I help you?" Looking at said patient wondering if I should have been just as rude.

MP: "I came by end of last week and dropped of my films for the doctor to see."

Me: "Oh yes." I get up and retrieve said films and patients chart.

Me: "The doctor is out of town until next week."

MP: "What? I've waited long enough I'm in pain." Patient getting very irritated at this point.

Me: "I have another doctor coming in on Wednesday would you like-"

MP: "This is fucking irresponsible of you and the doctor!"

Me: "Excuse me? How is that?"

MP: "You were suppose to call me when he looked at these films. Your fucking irresponsible."

Me: "Sir, I called the number I have here in the chart and left a message on Friday regarding this matter. You however, were suppose to come and drop these films off after your last visit, which was 4 months ago, so I bet Doctor @*$%&# figured you would be okay to wait another week."

MP: "How the hell am I suppose to get that message when I got kicked out of my house, by my wife and she's taking the kids from me?"

Me: "Well sir, calm down."

MP: "This is fucking irresponsible."

Me: "No sir, your wife is fucking irresponsible, she should have taken the proper way to solve this as to give you your damn messages. It is not my fault you didnt get the message. I called and left a message."

MP: Mumbles under his breath.

Me: "What do you want?"

MP: "I want my films back."

Me: "Here." Hands films to patient. Patients walks outside to car and leaves.

I can already tell you what Doc will say in one word... "Discharge!"
